Maintaining excellent customer service and positive conduct **Job Description** --------------------------- Food Preparation Worker II is responsible for assisting cooks, chefs, or food service managers in preparing recipe ingredients and performing other tasks related to meal preparation and service. Food Preparation Worker II must prepare meals in accordance with recipes and production guidelines, as well as observe food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures. Essential job functions and responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Prepare a variety of meals according to production instructions and standardized recipes * Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment * Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items * Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives * Organize, garnish, and portion food according to established instructions * Accurately store food following food safety policies and procedures * Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils * Maintain excellent customer service and positive conduct toward guests, clients, and coworkers * Comply with Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and hygiene * Ensure the security of company assets At Aramark, developing new competencies and doing what is necessary to accomplish the task positively impacts our employees and our customers. To meet our goals, job duties may change or new ones may be added without formal notice. **Qualifications** ------------------- * Prior food preparation experience preferred * Knowledge of various food preparation methods, precise knife handling, and food safety regulations—such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage—preferred * Ability to obtain food safety certification Demonstrate basic math and counting skills Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal This position may involve physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or walking and standing for extended periods.
