Our hotel is one of the city’s most exciting culinary destinations—with an authentic Nikkei dining experience at Matsuri, Italian flavors at Senso, and light snacks and beverages at Atrium Lobby Lounge. **About the Role** Mandarin Oriental, Santiago is seeking the best **Host/Hostess** for its F&B Service department—responsible for warmly and courteously welcoming guests, answering telephone calls, and managing guest flow across various outlet stations. **Your Key Responsibilities** * The Host/Hostess establishes first contact with guests entering outlets. Additionally, they are responsible for table allocation and distribution, and for recognizing and addressing all regular guests by name. They must deliver courteous, professional, and efficient service aligned with outlet standards to ensure guest satisfaction. * The Host/Hostess is responsible for delivering the finest welcome to guests and maintaining order across each outlet. * Receive and seat guests in accordance with the Department’s Operations Manual standards. * Answer telephone calls, take reservations, and handle guest requests per the Department’s Operations Manual standards. * Deliver courteous and professional service at all times. * Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments. * Fully understand and comply with the hotel’s hygiene, health, and safety policies. * Maintain a consistently high standard of personal presentation. * Thoroughly understand and adhere to the hotel’s Internal Regulations and all provisions therein. * Proficiently use the computer system to maintain and update the database of regular guests. * Possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of F&B menu items, and demonstrate the ability to recommend product pairings and upselling alternatives. * Ensure the workplace and surrounding areas remain clean and organized at all times. * Daily request of guest registration and identification of special needs or requests. * Maintain constant communication with the waitstaff team regarding immediate section requirements. * Read the daily bulletin board to stay informed about the day’s tasks. **What We Expect From You** * Orientation toward luxury service and customer service excellence. * Availability to work rotating shifts on a 5x2 schedule (40 hours per week). * Advanced English proficiency. **Our Commitment to You** * Complementary health insurance. * Complimentary meals at the staff restaurant. * Uniform laundry service. * Colleague Recognition and Reward Program. * Learning and Development Program. * Wellness initiatives and social events. * Various on-property discounts. **We're Fans.
