**Description** **The opportunity:** Engineering development for Substation Automation Systems (SAS), coordinating and executing technical activities related to design, specification, configuration, documentation, and SCADA system FAT testing. **How you will make an impact:** * Supporting the sales and proposals team in specifying new customer value propositions * Collaborating with the procurement department in selecting equipment for project acquisition * Preparing all activities required for factory acceptance testing (FAT) of SCADA systems * Conducting internal or customer-facing technical meetings to report progress and present technical solutions * Developing procedures for third-party execution of activities related to SAS project assembly and commissioning * Ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Your profile** * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields, with knowledge of electrical substations and automation systems. Minimum one year’s prior experience in designing, configuring, and testing electrical substation monitoring systems * General understanding of the engineering process for SAS and associated activities * Knowledge of communication standards and protocols, such as IEC 61850, IEC 101, IEC 104, or DNP * Proficiency with Office tools such as Excel, Visio, and Project; experience with Windows-based operating systems; knowledge of graphical interface development for SCADA systems * Ability to work independently * Team-oriented mindset and solution-focused approach * Flexibility to learn new skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. **Desirable:** * English language proficiency at B2 level * Knowledge of cybersecurity and applicable standards (NERC, NIST, IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001) * Knowledge of Ethernet communication networks * Programming language knowledge such as C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar * Experience using tools for communication network analysis * Proficiency with CAD tools * Familiarity with Hitachi’s SCADA and RTU product portfolio **More About Us** * Work-Life Balance * Global Growth * Culture of Continuous Improvement * *#LI-Hybrid* * Benefits exceeding statutory requirements **Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
