**Education:** Commercial Engineering or related degrees with commercial and analytical orientation.
**Purpose of the Position**
We are seeking a Category Development Analyst to join our Category Development team.
The role’s purpose is to analyze market, shopper, and client data to identify trends and growth opportunities, transforming data and insights into commercial recommendations and executive presentations that contribute to the development of our categories.
The candidate will have the opportunity to manage two to three categories, collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Sales Force teams, and present proposals to clients and stakeholders at various levels. The role offers high business visibility and enables deep understanding of the market, categories, and shopper behavior.
This role is ideal for analytical individuals with commercial orientation, excellent communication skills, autonomy, and motivation to transform data into impactful stories and recommendations.
**A Day in the Life of…**
Analyze market, shopper, and client data from NielsenIQ, Kantar, and other internal or client platforms.
Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges contributing to category growth.
Manage and monitor performance across different categories, tracking key performance indicators.
Analyze KPIs such as market share, penetration, purchase frequency, average transaction value, assortment, innovations, and point-of-sale performance.
Transform data and insights into executive presentations, commercial recommendations, and clear, compelling selling stories.
Present conclusions and proposals to commercial teams, business managers, and clients.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Sales Force teams to convert market opportunities into actionable plans.
Build collaborative relationships with key clients, progressively positioning yourself as a partner for category development.
Stay updated on market developments, key players, shopper behavior, and emerging trends that may generate new business opportunities.
**What Will Make You Successful**
Graduate or degree holder in Commercial Engineering or a related field with commercial and analytical orientation.
Minimum one year of prior work experience in commercial analysis, sales, marketing, category management, shopper insights, trade marketing, or related areas.
Ideally, knowledge or experience using NielsenIQ, Kantar, or client data platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Intermediate-high English level (B2 minimum).
Strong analytical capability and ease working with numbers, data, and commercial metrics.
Presentation, executive communication, and data storytelling skills.
Commercial orientation and ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
Autonomous, proactive individual with capacity for independent learning.
Confidence and clarity when presenting to clients, commercial teams, and senior audiences.
Energy, curiosity, and motivation to understand the market, categories, and shopper behavior.
