Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Reporting to the Project Manager, the **Project Superintendent** will be responsible for leading the comprehensive management of the Projects Superintendent’s project portfolio, ensuring proper and timely portfolio planning, correct scope definition, compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, permitting planning, quality requirements, cost estimation and control, engineering schedules, procurement, contracting, and construction; leading coordination for brownfield projects and those associated with major maintenance; promoting process optimization and implementation of improvements; and ensuring sustainability and efficient use of company resources, guaranteeing proper project delivery to the client. The position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating under a 4x3 shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion rules, regulations, critical controls, and health, safety and environmental procedures. * Lead and manage the Project Management team and its project portfolio, ensuring execution plans are met without impacting production commitments or operational continuity. * Ensure compliance with applicable national, international, and internal company HSE regulations, standards, rules, procedures, and policies by teams within the Superintendent’s jurisdiction across all portfolio projects. * Develop and control the Project Management budget (Opex and Capex), focusing on long-, medium-, and short-term portfolio planning, prioritizing daily, weekly, and monthly management, and optimizing costs. * Develop and implement continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across all processes within the Superintendent’s jurisdiction. * Manage business- and project portfolio-related risks and ensure execution of the portfolio master plan and operational continuity of processes that may be impacted, guaranteeing timely and proper execution of enablers to achieve operational objectives. * Monitor compliance with KPIs, milestones, and targets of the project portfolio master plan throughout the lifecycle of each portfolio project. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring availability of required human capital for operations and that workers possess the necessary competencies to meet area objectives. **Requirements** -------------- * Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Civil Engineering. * Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale mining projects. * Minimum 8 years of experience leading industrial project teams in mining. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Process optimization to improve productivity, efficiency, and reliability of project execution. * Design, monitoring, and analysis of management indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance of project execution, costs, safety, and sustainability. * Formulation and control of project planning and execution budgets across the project lifecycle. * Portfolio and program management, progress curves, critical path, mitigation, recovery, and acceleration plans. * Contract management. * Development and management of Constructability and Maintainability workshops. * Current regulations and legislation, rules, and standards related to contractor, engineering, and construction management. * HSE management (national and international regulations on safety, occupational health, and environment), design and supervision of risk control plans, risk matrices, and safe work practices. * Use of management platforms (SAP, Maximo, among others). **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
