Teck holds an indirect 60% stake in the mine. Reporting to the Projects Superintendent, the **Project Manager** will be responsible for leading end-to-end management of assigned projects, ensuring timely and appropriate portfolio planning, accurate scope definition, compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, permitting planning, quality requirements, cost estimation and control, engineering schedules, procurement, contracting, and construction; leading coordination for brownfield projects and major maintenance initiatives; promoting process optimization and implementation of improvements; and ensuring sustainability and efficient use of company resources and project synergies within the area, guaranteeing successful delivery of assigned projects to the client. The position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site in the Tarapacá Region, at an elevation of 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating under a 4x3 shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader—comply with and champion rules, regulations, critical controls, and HSE procedures. * Lead and manage assigned projects, ensuring execution plans are met without impacting production commitments or operational continuity. * Ensure compliance by involved teams—with national, international, and internal company HSE regulations, standards, rules, procedures, and policies applicable to the planning and execution of assigned projects. * Establish, ensure, monitor, and periodically report the budget (Capex) for each assigned project, focusing on lifecycle planning with medium- and short-term perspectives, prioritizing daily, weekly, and monthly management, and optimizing costs. * Develop and implement continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across all processes within the department. * Manage business- and project-related risks and ensure execution of the project plan and operational continuity of impacted processes. * Monitor achievement of KPIs, milestones, and targets throughout the entire lifecycle of each assigned project. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring availability of necessary human capital for operations and that workers—including contractor personnel and equipment—possess required competencies to achieve departmental objectives. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering, or Executive Engineering in related disciplines. * Minimum 8 years’ experience in large-scale mining projects. * Minimum 5 years’ experience leading industrial project teams in mining. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Process optimization to improve productivity, efficiency, and reliability of project execution. * Design, monitoring, and analysis of management indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance of project execution, costs, safety, and sustainability. * Interpretation of operational dashboards, technical reports, and management control platforms. * Formulation and control of project planning and execution budgets across the project lifecycle. * Management of project programs, progress curves, critical path, mitigation, recovery, and acceleration plans. * Contract management. * Business and project risk management. * Stakeholder management. * Development and management of Constructability and Maintainability workshops. * Current regulations and legislation, rules, and standards related to contractor, engineering, and construction management. * HSE management (national and international regulations on safety, occupational health, and environment), design and supervision of risk control plans, risk matrices, and safe work practices. * Use of management platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo). **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
