Job Summary
**TreG Technologies \& Business Services Chile SpA** is seeking a ***Network Support Technician*** with technical motivation, strong organizational skills, and a service-oriented mindset to join our technology services team in Viña del Mar. As a Network Support Technician, you will deliver first-line support for network connectivity, workstations, networking devices, user access, Wi\-Fi, LAN environments, and related IT infrastructure. You will resolve routine connectivity incidents, document technical cases, assist with equipment configuration, monitor network services, and escalate complex infrastructure issues to senior technical staff. You will work closely with IT support, networking, infrastructure, systems, help desk, and enterprise service teams to contribute to the maintenance of reliable technology services. This position is ideal for candidates with limited professional experience or those beginning their careers—particularly those interested in networking, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, technical support, help desk operations, or computer systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support for networks and connectivity.
Receive, document, categorize, and update network support tickets.
Resolve LAN and Wi\-Fi connectivity issues.
Assist with basic TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
Support resolution of routine DNS and DHCP issues.
Assist users with VPN connectivity issues.
Verify network cables, ports, adapters, and connectivity.
Assist with configuration of authorized networking devices.
Support basic troubleshooting of switches and routers.
Assist with wireless access point connectivity.
Monitor network alerts and report anomalous conditions.
Perform basic network connectivity tests using authorized diagnostic tools.
Assist with documentation of IP addresses and network configurations.
Troubleshoot desktop and laptop connectivity issues.
Support printers and other network-connected peripherals.
Assist with Windows and Microsoft 365\ user support requests.
Support password and account access issues when authorized.
Assist with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID processes as applicable.
Prepare and configure workstations and network-connected equipment.
Assist with installation and replacement of networking equipment.
Support basic structured cabling activities and documentation.
Maintain accurate records of network and IT assets.
Collaborate on equipment inventory.
Monitor open technical incidents and follow up accordingly.
Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.
Escalate complex firewall, routing, server, cybersecurity, or infrastructure issues.
Collaborate on scheduled network maintenance.
Keep network support procedures and knowledge base articles up to date.
Follow cybersecurity, access control, and information security procedures.
Participate in network upgrades and technology projects.
Requirements:
Technical or professional education in networking, telecommunications, information technology, computer science, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
Approximately 0–1 year of relevant professional experience is required.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience in internships, academic labs, or networking environments is valued.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
Basic knowledge of IPv4 addressing and subnetting.
Familiarity with LAN and WLAN concepts.
Basic knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
Familiarity with routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Basic knowledge of VPN.
Fundamental Windows troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365\.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
Familiarity with network diagnostic tools such as ping, tracert/traceroute, ipconfig, and nslookup.
Basic understanding of network security.
Familiarity with incident management or ITSM systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent customer orientation.
Ability to clearly communicate technical instructions.
High attention to detail.
Ability to accurately document technical incidents.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to learn new networking technologies.
Salary: $750,000 – $1,000,000 per month
