We are now seeking a **Senior Data Scientist** to join our team at Betterfly. You will be responsible for transforming our data ecosystem into Data Science solutions that deliver direct value to users, corporate clients, and insurance partners. You will play a key role in evolving our products and AI strategy, acting as a **technical reference point**, and fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Insurance teams to integrate and operationalize models within the app and business processes, ensuring their performance, validity, and sustained value contribution over time. **What tasks do we expect from you?** * Participate in planning the Data Science roadmap, identifying and proposing modeling initiatives aligned with strategy and the data ecosystem to generate value for users and the business. * Design, build, train, and validate analytical AI models, applying appropriate approaches for each use case (predictive models, risk scoring, segmentation, recommendations, causal detection, anomaly detection, etc.). * Design and execute experiments (A/B, multivariate), using uplift modeling and causal inference techniques to measure impact, validate hypotheses, and guide product and business decisions. * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to integrate and operationalize models into the product experience and key business processes. * Monitor model performance in production, ensuring accuracy, fairness, functional validity, absence of degradation, and ongoing compliance over time. **What are we looking for in you?** * 5–7+ years of applied Data Science experience, ideally in digital products, health-tech, insurtech, or fintech. * Proven experience integrating ML/AI models into production ecosystems and demonstrating their impact on business outcomes. * Experience in predictive modeling, risk scoring, segmentation, recommendation engines, causal pattern detection, and anomaly detection. * Experience with advanced techniques to uncover patterns, identify causal relationships, predict behaviors, and optimize business decisions based on data. * Strong software engineering skills and autonomy, applying best practices to ensure robustness, maintainability, and scalability of implemented code. * *Nice to have:* Experience building ML pipelines using containerization and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP). **Why choose Betterfly?** Because you’ll have the opportunity to work in a continuously growing organization that challenges you daily to become your best self—and one that strives to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
