Job Summary: We are seeking a Forest Fire Prevention and Suppression Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise effective and safe responses to wildfires. Key Highlights: 1. Plans and supervises preventive programs and forest maintenance. 2. Directs operations during forest emergencies under the ICS. 3. Coordinates actions with key agencies and evaluates forest firefighting brigades. At **HumanNet**, we are looking for a **Forest Fire Prevention and Suppression Supervisor** to join our Forest Protection team in the **Maule Region**. Your primary objective will be to plan, coordinate, and supervise prevention, mitigation, detection, and suppression activities to ensure an effective and safe response protecting people, infrastructure, and forest heritage. ### **Main Responsibilities** * Plan and supervise preventive programs, maintenance of firebreaks, forest roads, access routes, and water sources. * Monitor the establishment of brigade camps, distribution of PPE/uniforms, and ensure operational readiness of suppression resources. * Direct operations during forest emergencies using the **Incident Command System (ICS)** methodology. * Coordinate actions with agencies such as CONAF, Fire Departments, SENAPRED, and Municipalities. * Conduct monthly evaluations of forest firefighting brigades, carry out drills, and promote safety and self-protection culture. * Prepare incident reports, post-fire analyses, and damage assessments. ### **Application Requirements** * **Education:** Technical or Professional Degree in Forestry Engineering, Risk Prevention, Emergency Management, or related field. * **Residence:** Linares, Licantén, Talca, San Javier, or neighboring communes. * **Experience:** Minimum of **5 years of relevant experience** is preferred. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Proficiency in ICS methodology. * Operational planning and field resource management. * Computer tools: Excel and basic ArcGIS. **Work Schedule:** Article 22\.
