We stand out by delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions, driving a cleaner future.** **We are currently seeking a** **Process Engineer** **at our corporate office in** **Las Condes \- Santiago** ### **Purpose of the Role** ### **To be responsible for the design and technical support of Air Products’ production facilities across South America, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations at Air Separation Units (ASUs), Liquid Helium (LHe), Liquid CO₂ (LCO₂), Acetylene (C₂H₂), Nitrous Oxide (N₂O), and packaged gas plants, working closely with Operations and Engineering teams to resolve critical issues and optimize plant performance.** ### **Key Responsibilities** * ### **Provide engineering support to identify performance gaps, analyze operational issues, and develop technical solutions.** * ### **Evaluate plant efficiency and implement productivity and reliability improvements.** * ### **Develop process designs, P\&ID modifications, control strategies, and equipment specifications.** * ### **Participate in commissioning activities, performance testing, cool-downs, commissioning, and expansion projects.** * ### **Conduct technical analyses, mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and operability reviews.** * ### **Perform root cause analysis and support resolution of critical plant failures.** * ### **Provide technical support to maintenance, plant shutdowns, and continuous improvement projects.** * ### **Coordinate with suppliers, global engineering teams, and regional technical specialists.** * ### **Support process safety initiatives and risk reviews.** ### **Requirements** * ### **Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.** * ### **5–10 years of experience in Engineering, Operations, or related functions.** * ### **Experience in process analysis, resolution of operational problems, and continuous improvement.** * ### **Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.** * ### **Preferred experience in industrial plants, cryogenic processes, or industrial gases.** * ### **Preferred proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen or similar).** * ### **Preferred experience in HAZOP, LOPA, commissioning, and decommissioning.** * ### **Advanced English (spoken and written).** * ### **Portuguese preferred.** ### **Position Conditions** * ### **Base location: Las Condes \- Santiago** * ### **Hybrid work model: 3 remote days and 2 on-site days per week.** * ### **Working hours:** + ### **Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00 hrs.** + ### **Friday: 08:30–15:00 hrs.** * ### **Willingness to travel internationally within South America approximately 25% of the time per month.** ### **Competencies** * ### **Analytical thinking.** * ### **Problem solving.** * ### **Ability to work independently.** * ### **Results orientation.** * ### **Effective communication.** * ### **Collaborative teamwork and regional focus.** * ### **Organization and priority management.
