Vacancy: Server and Virtualization Administrator (VMware | Linux/Unix | Windows | Exchange) Project duration: 6 weeks. At PS Grupo Hunting, we are supporting a technology-sector client in hiring a **Server Administrator** to join a team focused on operational continuity, virtualization, and administration of critical platforms. What will be your purpose? Ensure the **stable and secure operation** of the server infrastructure by performing support, maintenance, improvement, and administration tasks for Linux/Unix/Windows environments, VMware virtualization, and Exchange messaging. Key responsibilities * Administer and maintain server **hardware and software**, and associated platforms. * Provide **technical support**, perform maintenance, and address operational requirements. * Execute **server installations, configurations, migrations, and upgrades**. * Recommend improvements regarding **capacity planning**, performance, and efficient resource utilization. * Administer **backup solutions** and support operational continuity. * Coordinate **preventive and corrective maintenance** with internal and external teams. * Monitor **Linux, Unix (HP/IBM), and Windows** systems (disk, services, physical/logical status). * Administer and configure **VMware vSphere** (virtual machines, storage, and virtual disks). * Administer **Exchange Server 2010 or later**. * Configure websites, office tools, and service-related components. * Perform tasks related to **cybersecurity, networking, and information security**. * Operate and manage solutions such as **McAfee, Fortinet**, antivirus, and antispam. * Maintain fluent communication, basic documentation, and collaborative work. Job requirements * Education in **IT field** (**4-year degree or longer**). * **Minimum 3 years** of experience in similar roles (server / infrastructure administration). * Demonstrable experience in: * **Linux, Unix (HP/IBM), and Windows** * **VMware vSphere virtualization** * **Exchange Server 2010+ administration** * **Courses and/or certifications** in Windows and Unix (IBM). Desirable (highly valued) * **VCP VMware vSphere certification** (or higher). * **ITIL**.
