When you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data\-driven insights to build a healthier future. ### **Quality Assistant \- Experience in the Minerals Field** ### **Key Responsibilities** * Support the **QA/QC Chemist** in executing and monitoring quality controls associated with laboratory processes. * Prepare and analyze mineral samples according to established methods, procedures, and protocols. * Perform **QA/QC** controls and maintain corresponding records, following guidelines defined by the QA/QC Chemist. * Assist in reviewing results, identifying deviations, and tracking corrective actions. * Keep documentation and records related to the Quality Management System up to date. * Support the control, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments. * Comply with internal procedures and technical requirements associated with **ISO/IEC 17025**. * Maintain appropriate coordination with the **QA/QC Chemist** and the laboratory team, promptly reporting any deviation or situation that may affect result quality. * Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards. ### **Requirements** * Technical or professional education in **Chemistry, Laboratory Science, Metallurgy, Mineralogy, Geology, or a related field**. * Experience in **mineral laboratories**, ideally in sample preparation and analysis. * Desirable experience or knowledge in **QA/QC**. * Desirable technical and/or theoretical knowledge of **ISO/IEC 17025**. **Working at ALS** The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
