The purpose of this role is to supervise, control, and manage the performance of the operational area, safeguarding adherence to the production schedule and personnel administration within the area, thereby achieving established goals and key performance indicators. This is done while ensuring compliance with regulations and policies related to Ethics, Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management. **Main responsibilities include:** * Ensuring a safe working environment by supervising compliance with MASSO norms and policies within the team. * Coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the performance of personnel in assigned operational areas. * Coordinating team staffing movements to ensure proper operation and compliance with the shift’s production schedule. * Ensuring operational conditions of equipment by coordinating with the Maintenance Department in case of incidents affecting production equipment. * Coordinating and managing logistical requirements of the area to meet shift goals (e.g., PPE, adhesives, etc.). * Coordinating internal supply movements within the area. * Monitoring and verifying compliance with quality standards, administrative personnel policies, and production control. * Monitoring, reporting, and managing area indicators (e.g., downtime, efficiency, operational factors, utilization factors, pace factors, productivity factors, etc.). * Communicating relevant information to shift personnel regarding goals, benefits, directives, safety alerts, among others. * Identifying and managing improvement opportunities related to safety and operational efficiency of the production line. * Preparing reports as required. * Promoting a positive work climate within the team. * Motivating and leading the team to improve results in safety, quality, operations, efficiency, customer satisfaction, etc. * Actively participating in performance dialogues. **Requirements:** * Education: Industrial Civil Engineering, Mechanical Civil Engineering, Industrial Execution Engineering, and/or Mechanical Execution Engineering (mandatory) * Minimum two years of experience in industrial process plants leading people (mandatory) * Technical knowledge in: wood quality standards, market requirements, product classification, use of measuring instruments, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production processes (desirable) * Basic knowledge in Mechanics and Electricity (desirable) * Availability to work rotating shifts (mandatory) * Availability to work in San José de la Mariquina ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
