Job Summary: We are seeking a lathe and milling machine operator with proven experience to safely and independently operate conventional lathes and milling machines, manufacturing and repairing parts according to drawings and samples. Interpretation of mechanical drawings and metrology A lathe and milling machine operator is required for the commune of Lampa, Monday to Friday, with proven experience. Main responsibilities include: \- Safely and independently operating conventional lathes and conventional milling machines. \- Manufacturing and repairing mechanical parts and components according to drawings, sketches, or samples. \- Performing turning operations including facing, cylindrical turning, grooving, threading, boring, and other conventional machining operations. \- Performing milling operations such as planing, grooving, keyway cutting, and custom machining as required. \- Selecting cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining conditions according to material type and operation. \- Mounting, centering, and securing workpieces on machines. \- Accurately interpreting mechanical drawings, tolerances, and technical symbols. \- Using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other metrology tools. \- Dimensionally inspecting parts during and upon completion of machining processes. \- Working with various types of steels and materials commonly used in the metalworking industry. \- Making adjustments and corrections during machining to ensure part quality. \- Maintaining order and cleanliness at the workstation and on machines. \- Complying with safety procedures, PPE usage, and company internal regulations. \- Promptly reporting any deviations, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions detected during operations. Requirements: Education: \- Technical secondary education; Technician in Industrial Mechanics; Technician in Machine Tools; or equivalent training. Experience: \- Proven experience as a Lathe and Milling Machine Operator. \- Practical experience operating conventional lathes and milling machines. \- Experience in manufacturing and repairing parts for industrial machinery and metalworking projects will be valued. Technical Knowledge: \- Interpretation of mechanical drawings. \- Metrology and dimensional control. \- Cutting tools and machining parameters. \- Knowledge of materials and their behavior during machining. \- Proficiency in using measuring instruments. \- Knowledge of safety practices for machine tools. Salary: From $900\.000 net monthly, adjustable based on experience, technical competencies, and candidate autonomy. Schedule: Monday to Thursday 08:00–18:00 hrs; Friday 08:00–15:00 hrs. Availability to work overtime if required; overtime will be compensated. Salary: Starting at $900\.000 per month Workplace: On-site employment
