Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Reporting to the High Voltage Supervisor, the High Voltage Electrical Technician IV will be responsible for executing maintenance and operation plans for high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment and systems in accordance with maintenance processes, applying high safety standards and operational discipline through collaborative and integrated work within the maintenance and operations area, to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the Mine and Plant. This position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, under a 7x7 day/night shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Execute the scheduled maintenance plan (daily and weekly) and unscheduled maintenance (emergencies). * Record activities in Maximo System. Implement HSEC standards and objectives in area activities and processes to ensure safe operation of assets, people, the environment, and production. * Perform duties in accordance with the company’s defined operational management standards. * Identify improvement opportunities in processes and systems, and escalate them using QB’s Continuous Improvement framework. **Requirements** -------------- * Hold a technical diploma (intermediate or higher level) in electricity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance and operation of high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment and systems. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance and switching operations of 220 kV and 23 kV circuit breakers in medium- and high-voltage switchyards; GIS equipment experience is desirable. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Availability to work at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, under a 7x7 day/night shift system. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
