Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation jointly hold an indirect 30% interest. **Job Description** ------------------------- **Closing Date:** June 10, 2026 Reporting to the Concentrator Maintenance Manager, the **Concentrator Maintenance Supervisor** will be responsible for supervising the execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on critical concentrator equipment—including grinding (SAG mills, ball mills, and cyclones), primary crushing, and pebble crushing—coordinating the technical team to ensure adherence to schedules and safety standards, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing rapid solutions to failures to maintain operational continuity. This position will be based at our Quebrada Blanca operation located in the Tarapacá Region at 4,400 meters above sea level, operating on a 7x7 day shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Coordinate and supervise preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for equipment in the primary crushing, grinding, and pebble crushing systems, ensuring their availability and optimal performance. * Monitor the performance of key equipment across all dry areas (primary crushing, grinding, and pebble crushing), identifying deviations and correcting failures. * Plan and assign tasks to the technical team, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and safety standards. * Collaborate with operational areas to align maintenance activities with production needs, minimizing downtime. * Lead the implementation of technical improvements on critical concentrator equipment, incorporating advanced technologies and optimization methodologies. * Train technical staff on the proper use, maintenance, and safety of area equipment, promoting good practices and operational efficiency. **Requirements** -------------- * Professional degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance of mining concentrator plants or continuous-process industries. * Advanced knowledge of crushing and grinding systems, including operation, maintenance, and optimization of associated equipment. * Proficiency in maintenance management tools such as SAP PM or similar systems for planning and tracking activities. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications for accurate execution of maintenance tasks. * Experience in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), such as availability, reliability, and maintenance-related costs. * Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to maintenance, ensuring sustainable and responsible crushing operations. * Mandatory valid Class B driver’s license. * Willingness to work at our Quebrada Blanca operation located in the Tarapacá Region at 4,400 meters above sea level, on a 7x7 day shift system. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
