Finning, a strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and a leader in the distribution of equipment and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of **Boilermaker and Welder Technicians** for the **La Negra Service Center** contract. This role is responsible for performing welding and maintenance work on equipment at the site, independently executing medium-scale projects within their specialty and larger-scale projects with initial guidance. Additionally, it includes repairing structural and mechanical components on mining equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with the company’s established quality, safety, and productivity standards. **Job Responsibilities:** * Perform boilermaking work on mining equipment components, hoppers, piping, structures, and others. * Execute welding, cutting, fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal structures. * Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications for part fabrication and repair. * Inspect structural components to identify wear, cracks, or failures. * Apply welding processes according to established procedures and current quality standards. * Properly operate oxy-fuel cutting equipment, grinders, hand tools, and welding equipment. **Requirements:** * Completed Secondary Education or Technical Diploma (Intermediate/Senior Level) in Boilermaking, Metal Structures, Industrial Welding, Industrial Mechanics, or related field. * Experience in welding and boilermaking within mining, heavy industry, or industrial maintenance. * Valid Welding Certification. * Knowledge of SMAW, MIG/MAG, and oxy-fuel cutting welding processes. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings. * Knowledge of fabrication, repair, and assembly of metal structures. * Familiarity with safety regulations applicable to hot work. * Preferred residence in Antofagasta or Region II.
