### **DESCRIPTION**
Glencore Lomas Bayas Mining Company, located in the Antofagasta Region, requires hiring a GEOTECHNICAL ASSISTANT under a 7X7 shift system with camp accommodation. We seek Senior Technicians with experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring at mining operations. Specialized in installation, operation, maintenance, and calibration of geotechnical monitoring systems—including monitoring radars, robotic and manual total stations, prisms, extensometers, and control stakes—according to instrumentation plans and safety standards. Experience in slope evaluation, identification of geotechnical failures, perimeter blast control, and support for geotechnical reconciliation processes. Proficiency in geotechnical databases, georeferenced surveys, photographic and audiovisual recording, drone usage, and monitoring integration platforms. Oriented toward operational safety, data reliability, and continuous field-based geotechnical supervision. Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, including monitoring radars, robotic and manual total stations, and installation of geotechnical instruments such as prisms, extensometers, and control stakes. Minimum 2 years in slope evaluation, including identification of planar, wedge, unstable zone, and associated geotechnical conditions. Minimum 2 years in implementation and use of geotechnical instrumentation—including monitoring radars and robotic and manual total stations—with certification preferred. Valid Class B driver’s license, mandatory.
