Ausenco is seeking a Structural Designer, Senior for EPCM projects in Santiago and Lima, supporting structural design, optimization, and problem resolution while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Our teams in Chile and Peru are undergoing continuous growth, and we are currently recruiting Senior Structural Designers to join an EPCM project based in our Santiago and Lima offices.
**About the Role**
* Develop and review project structural drawings and models in SmartPlan 3D.
* Collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to optimize design and ensure field project feasibility.
* Develop on-site structural solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Identify and resolve potential technical issues during the construction phase.
* Develop and implement work criteria, standards, procedures, and methods.
* Understand, apply, and maintain consistent design standards across projects by adhering to Ausenco’s design standards.
* Maintain ongoing communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress of activities.
* Support the project through collaboration with designers from other disciplines.
* Manage assigned task execution timelines effectively and efficiently.
* Demonstrate initiative to independently perform routine tasks and use judgment to determine appropriate methods for assigned tasks.
* Provide design suggestions and make routine decisions within defined procedures, while knowing when to seek assistance if guidance is unclear.
**About You**
* Draftsperson/Designer Technician or Construction Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering.
* **Approximately 8 years of verified professional experience** in mining and industrial projects, preferably with engineering consulting firms and ideally including construction experience.
* Proven experience using software such as **Smart Plant 3D** (mandatory), AutoCAD, and Office.
* Ability to work on-site and adapt to project conditions.
* Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
