The primary mission of this role is to coordinate, manage, and optimize institutional processes associated with research, ensuring operational efficiency, traceability, and regulatory compliance in the formulation, execution, and monitoring of projects, as well as in measuring scientific productivity indicators—thereby strengthening the institution’s research capacity, supporting implementation of the Research Development Plan, and meeting accreditation requirements in the areas of research, creation, and innovation. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Regarding Management of the Research Project Lifecycle.** * Coordinate the formulation, application, awarding, execution, monitoring, and closure stages of institutional and external research projects. * Supervise compliance with administrative, financial, ethical, and regulatory requirements applicable to each project type. **Information Analysis and Indicators.** * Design, implement, and maintain systems for tracking scientific productivity indicators, funding awards, and research performance. * Generate periodic reports for the Directorate of Research and other units, facilitating decision-making and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. **Technical Support for Project Formulation.** * Advise researchers on applying for internal and external competitive funding (e.g., ANID, MINEDUC, or others). * Support technical review of competition guidelines, evaluation criteria, and formal requirements for calls and tenders. **Operational Management, Process Optimization, and Improvement.** * Administer internal research competitions—including teaching-focused and student research competitions—ensuring transparent, standardized processes aligned with institutional policies. * Continuously standardize and improve administrative processes related to calls, funding, projects, and research seedbeds. * Support integration of national and international best practices in research management. **Coordination and Support.** * Coordinate activities with faculties, centers, directorates, and administrative units to strengthen linkages among research, teaching, and postgraduate studies. * Provide administrative, technical, and logistical support to committees, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper document handling. * Collaborate directly with the Directorate of Research in implementing institutional strategies related to research, creation, and innovation.
