About the Position At **AirCon Tecnología en Climatización y Servicios Técnicos**, we are looking to hire a **Refrigeration Technician** to perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and installation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of refrigerated equipment, cold rooms, HVAC systems, and associated components, meeting technical requirements both at our own facilities and at client sites. This position will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Technical Service, Engineering, and Procurement departments, directly contributing to operational continuity and service quality. Main Responsibilities * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration systems. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults. * Repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. * Carry out equipment installation and commissioning. * Inspect cold rooms and refrigeration systems. * Inspect condensing and evaporating units. * Examine compressors, valves, and associated components. * Detect refrigerant leaks and conduct leak-tightness tests. * Verify operating pressures and temperatures. * Perform refrigerant charging and recovery according to applicable procedures. * Inspect electrical panels and control systems. * Conduct basic electrical measurements. * Clean condensers, evaporators, and filters. * Adjust operational parameters. * Perform functional tests after repairs. * Document completed work. * Prepare technical service reports. * Maintain up-to-date maintenance records. * Coordinate spare parts requirements. * Manage assigned tools and materials. * Respond to on-site technical requests. * Coordinate site visits with clients. * Promptly report critical failures. * Comply with safety procedures. * Participate in planned maintenance programs. * Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency. What We Are Looking For **Experience:** 3–5 years of experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related fields. **Education:** Higher-level Technical Degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electricity, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. **Refrigeration:** Hands-on experience with refrigeration equipment and circuits. **Diagnosis:** Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs. **Electricity:** Knowledge of electricity and control systems associated with HVAC equipment. **Maintenance:** Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance. **Safety:** Ability to work in accordance with technical and safety procedures. **Communication:** Strong interpersonal skills with clients and the ability to explain technical findings. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with HVAC systems. * Experience with cold rooms. * Knowledge of chillers. * Experience with split, rooftop, and VRF/VRV systems. * Knowledge of commercial or industrial refrigeration. * Experience with compressors and condensing units. * Proficiency with measurement instruments. * Knowledge of HVAC automation and controls. * Experience maintaining refrigeration systems in retail, food, or industrial settings. * Technical certifications related to refrigeration. * Knowledge of energy efficiency. * Class B driver’s license. * Availability to perform on-site work.
