Understand internal consumption behavior of the category and forecast demand, anticipating discontinuities. 2\.Have full knowledge of the total cost of ownership of the assigned category, as well as understanding of the supplier industry’s value chain. 3\.Identify, contact, and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring availability of competitive alternatives aligned with company policies. 4\.Maintain smooth and proactive relationships with current and potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. 5\.Ensure up-to-date market information, benchmarking, cost structure analysis, supplier analysis, analysis of alternative supply sources, among others. 6\.Identify value-add or cost-saving opportunities within the responsible category and formulate an action plan, seeking to maximize regional synergies and identifying and validating with Sites both internal levers and supplier-chain-related levers for savings. 7\.Support and challenge user areas in defining demand requirements—quantities, technical specifications, and quality/service-level expectations. 8\.Engage users and customers timely during Site requirement gathering and savings hypothesis generation, identifying and maintaining smooth relationships with Sites and user areas. 9\.Execute category procurement strategy with excellence and in accordance with Glencore policies. Implement the procurement plan corresponding to the category under responsibility. 10\.Monitor contractual compliance by analyzing performance of current suppliers against quality, timeliness, and cost criteria, producing reports with SLA and supplier performance metrics. 11\.Monitor realization of benefits captured through procurement agreements. 12\.Provide effective and timely resolution to specific user issues and needs within agreed SLAs. 13\.Promptly identify supply risks and develop contingency plans to ensure operational continuity at Sites. 14\.Support negotiation, quotation/tendering, and contract award processes by gathering information and generating relevant analyses to identify value-add opportunities. 15\.Evaluate, compare, and present recommendations for contract awards, involving Sites and user areas where appropriate. Manage and facilitate distribution and approval of contractual documents. 16\.Transfer knowledge and train Site and user area management teams on new contractual terms. 17\.Generate reporting on managed products/services. 18\.Prepare reports and presentations for “kick-off” meetings between suppliers and user areas.
