Teck holds an indirect 60% stake in the mine. Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation collectively hold an indirect 30% stake. Codelco, a Chilean state-owned enterprise, holds a 10% stake with no financing obligation. **Position Description** ------------------------- Reporting to the Quebrada Blanca Business Risk Manager, the **Risk Management and Data Analytics Specialist** will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating data-driven analytical insights and risk reports, ensuring effective implementation of the risk management plan and adherence to activities defined in the annual program. This position will be based at our corporate offices in Santiago on a 5x2 shift schedule, with occasional travel to Iquique and the QB site. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Support identification, assessment, prioritization, and monitoring of key business risks. * Maintain the risk database up to date, ensuring data quality, consistency, and traceability. * Design, automate, and maintain dashboards and analytical reports (KRIs, KPIs, action plans, critical control compliance). * Integrate data from multiple sources (operational systems, SAP, Power BI, Excel, etc.) to generate insights supporting decision-making. * Ensure consistency in risk information structure, categorization, and visualization. * Coordinate and track implementation of the Quebrada Blanca risk management framework, ensuring milestone, timeline, and deliverable compliance. * Monitor progress of activities (audits, risk assessments, critical controls, training), maintaining traceability and evidence of compliance. * Produce periodic progress reports for the Risk Management team and governance committees. * Coordinate participation of operational areas, subject-matter experts, and functional leaders in executing the risk program. * Support continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and methodologies. * Promote a risk-aware culture focused on informed, data-driven decision-making. **Requirements** -------------- * Professional degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field. * 4–6 years of experience in mining or large-scale industrial enterprises. * Advanced proficiency in English. * Advanced proficiency in analytical and visualization tools (Power BI, Advanced Excel, Power Automate, Power Query, Basic SQL). * Knowledge of risk management frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO). * Experience in program/project planning and control, and progress reporting. * Ability to translate operational data into risk and performance analysis (KPIs, KRIs, control compliance). **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
