Additionally, the incumbent must collaborate in coordination with other operators and maintenance and support personnel, in accordance with corporate policies and the MCHS business model, acting in compliance with current regulations and procedures. To operate and maintain crushing and material handling systems, and to effectively and safely coordinate operational activities assigned by Management, in order to meet production programs per company guidelines and procedures—thereby contributing efficiently to achieving the production targets set by the Operations / Crushing and Material Handling Systems Superintendence. Must work collaboratively with support areas (both internal and contractor) and assist in equipment maintenance to maximize asset life through optimal operation and execution of necessary supporting activities. To operate and control support and production systems at Chuquicamata Underground Mine either automatically or manually from the Integrated Operations Center (IOC), North Industrial District (NID), and/or on-site. The purpose is to fulfill the production program while maximizing asset life, supported by on-site personnel (internal staff and contractors), ensuring compliance with Division- and Corporation-level policies, regulations, and procedures related to safety, occupational health, environment, and diversity & inclusion. **Key Responsibilities:** * Verify that assigned work areas allow continuity and safety in operations. * Record production process data and/or equipment-related incidents to keep information updated and facilitate shift handover. * Carry out support activities related to equipment operation and transport, as well as other services enabling efficient execution of unit production operations. * Perform manual tasks to support achievement of the production plan. * Comply with quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations. **Application Requirements:** * Completed secondary education. * Minimum one year of work experience. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Health condition compatible with the job requirements. **Desirable Qualifications:** * Technical degree (post-secondary level) in any field. * Valid Class D driver’s license. * Experience operating fixed and mobile equipment (e.g., mining equipment, CAEX, or support equipment) and/or experience operating in mining plants. **Offered Conditions:** * Contract: Temporary, with possibility of extension to an indefinite-term contract. * Work Location: Calama – Chuquicamata Division (no camp accommodation provided). * Working Hours: To be defined according to the position. * Number of Vacancies: To be defined. **Application Deadline: January 4, 2026.** Application Closing Time: 11:59 PM. “I hereby declare that I am aware of the conditions, in accordance with Codelco’s regulations, that could constitute incompatibility for holding the position to which I am applying and, consequently, affect my continued participation in the selection process.
