At AES, we are looking for a person to fill the role of **Senior SCADA \& Control Engineer** to join our team. **Work Location:** Nueva Torre Santa María, Santiago, or Antofagasta, Chile. **Work Mode:** Hybrid, administrative schedule, with availability to conduct periodic site visits to plants and assets located across various regions of the country. The person in this role will be responsible for leading and ensuring specialized technical support for SCADA, control, and telecommunications systems of renewable generation assets, guaranteeing their availability, reliability, operational continuity, and security. Additionally, they will play a key role in resolving complex issues, investigating critical events, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing technological improvements to optimize asset performance and strengthen remote monitoring, control, and operations processes. They will act as a cross-functional technical reference, promoting standardization, continuous improvement, and the transformation of operational data into strategic information for decision-making. **Responsibilities:** * Lead technical support for SCADA, PPC, control, telecommunications, and industrial network systems of renewable assets. * Ensure the availability, integrity, and reliability of monitoring and control systems, as well as critical communications for remote operations. * Lead diagnostics and analysis of complex failures, identifying root causes and defining corrective and preventive actions. * Manage engineering studies related to control systems, telecommunications, OT cybersecurity, and asset integration. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the quality of information reported to external agencies. * Supervise the performance of industrial networks, communication loops, and SCADA systems. * Implement and strengthen industrial cybersecurity controls across operational networks and platforms. * Participate in commissioning and integration of new assets into centralized operations, verifying control systems, communications, and monitoring. * Provide technical support for CAPEX and OPEX initiatives related to operations and maintenance. * Prepare technical reports and executive summaries to support decision-making. * Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and adoption of new technologies. * Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, IT/OT, Cybersecurity, Asset Management, and strategic vendors. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Industrial Control, or related fields. * Minimum 7 years of experience in SCADA, control, automation, or industrial systems associated with electric power generation. * Experience in operation and maintenance of renewable assets, ideally solar and BESS systems. * Experience with SCADA, PPC, and industrial control systems. * Experience in analyzing complex failures and conducting root cause analysis (RCA). * Experience in commissioning, start-up, and integration of control and telecommunications systems. * Knowledge of OT cybersecurity and best practices for industrial environments. * Experience interfacing with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. * Availability for occasional travel to plants and projects within Chile. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Strong analytical capability, results orientation, and ability to solve complex problems. * Excellent communication, coordination, and collaborative teamwork skills. **This position is also open to persons with disabilities, under Law No. 21\.015 on Labor Inclusion.**
