The primary objective of this role is to lead and supervise laboratory operations, ensuring correct execution of tests, compliance with quality standards, efficient resource management, and adherence to applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Key Responsibilities * Manage and lead the team of analysts and technical staff. * Ensure compliance with requirements established in ISO/IEC 17025 and other applicable regulations. * Review and approve test reports and analytical results. * Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and verification programs. * Manage internal and external audits. * Investigate deviations, non-conformities, and complaints related to laboratory services. * Implement continuous improvements in analytical and operational processes. * Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers. * Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental regulations. **Requirements** * Professional degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fuel, hydrocarbon, or quality control laboratories. * Knowledge of ASTM, ISO methods, and applicable fuel regulations. * Knowledge and experience in management systems based on ISO/IEC 17025\. * Proficiency in analytical instrumentation and laboratory equipment. * Experience in accreditation processes and audits is desirable. **Additional Information** We offer * Professional Development Plan * Birth and Christmas gifts for employees’ children * Life insurance from date of joining the organization * Special leave entitlements * Benefits through Caja Los Andes and associated agreements * Ongoing training
