We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges.*** **ARAUCO is seeking its next Process Engineer to strengthen operational continuity and productive excellence across our plants.** This role will be responsible for **monitoring process performance**, acting as a **technical specialist** in response to contingencies exceeding daily management scope, and contributing to the identification of risks and improvements to ensure stable, safe, and efficient operations. Additionally, the role will serve as the technical counterpart to Excellence and Innovation specialist teams, supporting the implementation of operational improvements. **Key responsibilities:** * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and applicable regulatory standards. * Monitor and analyze key process variables, preparing reports for production and process engineers. * Investigate and resolve complex operational issues beyond the scope of daily contingency management. * Provide technical support to production areas to ensure operational continuity. * Verify adherence to procedures and identify opportunities for improvement in control rooms and on-site. * Optimize operational reporting to accurately reflect the actual state of the process. * Collaborate in formalizing, executing, and implementing improvements to operational routines. * Monitor critical process KPIs, capacities, and consumption metrics. * Participate in root cause analyses and investigations of quality and environmental deviations. * Coordinate and develop projects with implementation and technical support areas. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * **3–5 years of experience** in production plants, preferably pulp mills. * Knowledge of IT tools and continuous improvement methodologies (desirable). * Experience in production or industrial processes. * Strong analytical skills, motivation for technical learning, and interpersonal and consensus-building abilities.
