Monitoring of parameters and maintenance of the work area. **Location:** Iquique, Tarapacá, Chile **Employment Type:** Regular full-time **Work Location:** On\-site About **Quebrada Blanca** Quebrada Blanca (QB) is located in the Tarapacá Region in northern Chile, at an altitude of 4\.400 meters, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique and 1\.500 kilometers from Santiago. Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation jointly hold an indirect 30% interest. **Job Description** ------------------------- **Closing Date: July 28, 2026** Reporting to the Port Services Supervisor, the **Port Services Operator I** will be responsible for controlling plant consumables such as reagents and materials, as well as coordinating industrial cleaning and managing reagent inventory. This position will be performed at our Port site on a 7x7 day/night shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Serve as a brave safety leader, adhering to and promoting safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Complete task checklists and safety documentation at the start of each shift. * Supervise industrial cleaning contractors. * Safeguard inventory of materials and reagents required for operations. * Record operational data. * Conduct visual inspections to identify equipment failures. * Monitor basic operating parameters at the port and desalination plant. * Maintain housekeeping in the work area. **Requirements** -------------- * Completed secondary education. * Technical secondary-level qualification in Metallurgy preferred. * 1–3 years’ experience in port and/or desalination plant operations. * Valid Class B driver’s license. \#LI\-KG1 **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
