**Work Location:** Antofagasta, Coya Power Plant
**What would be your objective?**
Execute electrical, mechanical, and related operation and maintenance tasks, as well as technical inspections, at renewable power generation plants, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), substations, medium-voltage systems, and all other elements necessary to ensure operational continuity of the assigned ENGIE Chile power plant, thereby contributing to unit availability according to company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
**Responsibilities:**
* Carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical, or cleaning maintenance activities at renewable power generation plants and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) to fulfill assigned tasks per established procedures, while maintaining safety and health, quality, and environmental standards.
* Perform switching operations—connection and disconnection—of equipment, switchgear rooms, or high-voltage yards, following established procedures and safety measures to ensure operational continuity and facility safety.
* Prepare reports on completed work and any incidents occurring during the workday, to maintain up-to-date information on facility performance.
* Operate renewable power generation plants, BESS, and their auxiliary equipment either from the control room and/or on-site, to monitor and control operational parameters via control panels.
**Requirements:**
* Academic Qualification: Higher Technical Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Civil Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
* Intermediate-level Office software proficiency.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic failures.
* Interpret electrical, hydraulic, electronic schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.
* Experience with electrical diagnostic and measurement tools, including vibration analysis and thermography.
* Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
* Knowledge of control systems, automation, and PLC programming.
**Desirable:**
* Knowledge of electrical substation operation and switching.
* Familiarity with SCADA systems and data collection software (e.g., SAP, Excel, etc.).
* Certification in industrial safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA, etc.).
* Certification in occupational safety and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), including:
* Solar plant maintenance
* Alternator and battery bank maintenance
* Solar plant cleaning
* Diesel engine maintenance
* BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) maintenance
* Knowledge of ISO 55.001 standard
* Knowledge of national electrical regulations (desirable)
* Familiarity with technical standards relevant to the role
* Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
