We are seeking a professional with the right experience for the **Mechanic Technician** position at our MMO located on the road to **Coronel** **.** **Key Responsibilities for this Position:** * Proactively and safely carry out maintenance work to ensure proper operation of static and rotating mechanical equipment, following established instructions and procedures. * Assess tasks or activities to be performed, identifying hazards and implementing control measures to prevent accidents. * Interpret mechanical drawings that define the operation and/or functioning of a system or equipment. * Operate hand tools, electric tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment. * Perform equipment lubrication through oil replenishment or oil changes. * Conduct inspection routes on static and rotating mechanical equipment. * Prepare and transport new and used parts and spare components for maintenance activities. * Perform hot work. * Support the maintenance planning and scheduling department with information. Assist in root cause identification and support solution development. * Actively participate in training sessions and courses. * Carry out activities in an organized, effective, and clean manner, contributing to the proper use, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and facilities within the operational area. * Comply with company-established standards for safety, hygiene, quality, and discipline, adhering to regulations and directives from immediate supervisors. * Understand Valmet’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, applying pre-established standards, instructions, and procedures to ensure quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—thereby contributing to value enhancement, optimization, information processes, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. **Required Qualifications for Performing These Activities:** * Completed secondary education; technical higher education completion or equivalent industry experience in mechanical maintenance or related fields is preferred. * Experience in mechanical component maintenance, industrial equipment assembly and adjustment, or similar activities.
