PRIMARY JOB OBJECTIVE Ensure the quality and safety of incoming raw materials and packaging/containment materials by verifying compliance with Macrofood's technical specifications. Additionally, this position emphasizes continuous learning: the employee will progressively integrate into and support analyses in the physical\-chemical, microbiological, and sensory laboratories, as well as assist in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS). **A. Core Responsibilities (Immediate Accountability):** **Raw Material Control:** Perform sampling, inspection, and release (or rejection) of ingredients and supplies upon arrival at the plant according to technical specifications. **Packaging and Packaging Materials Control:** Inspect packaging materials (e.g., film rolls, cartons, cardboard boxes, labels), verifying grammage, dimensions, sealing, text, and barcodes. **Non\-Conformance Management:** Identify, segregate, and report any deviations in received materials, issuing the corresponding rejection report for supplier management. **Traceability:** Timely and accurately enter inspection results into the computerized system and maintain updated physical and digital records. **B. Development and Learning Responsibilities (Support and Training):** **Sensory Laboratory:** Participate in tasting panels to learn how to evaluate organoleptic characteristics of finished products (taste, color, aroma, texture, solubility of powders) and compare them against Macrofood standards. **Physical\-Chemical Laboratory:** Assist in sample preparation and learn to perform fundamental routine analyses for powdered products, such as moisture content, particle size distribution, pH, °Brix, gel strength, density, or other specified tests. **Microbiological Laboratory:** Support basic tasks including material preparation, surface/environmental sampling, rinse water sampling, and basic recordkeeping under strict supervision of the assigned analyst, assimilating food safety concepts. **Quality Management System (QMS):** Accompany and support routine plant inspections (e.g., verification of Good Manufacturing Practices \- GMP), line hygiene controls, review of Critical Control Point (HACCP) records, and organization of area documentation. **4\. REQUIRED PROFILE** **Experience: Junior (0 to 1 year of experience)** Recent graduates with professional internships in food companies are welcome. **Academic Qualification: Technical\-Professional Secondary Education; Higher Technical Degree in Food Technology; Chemical Technician; Chemical Analyst; Quality Control Technician; or related field.** **Desired Technical Knowledge (Basic Level):** Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the HACCP system. General knowledge of Chile’s Food Sanitation Regulation (RSA). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word at user level). *Preferred:* Basic knowledge of sampling (NCh 43\ standard). **5\. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS (Soft Skills)** **Willingness to Learn:** High motivation to train in new laboratory areas and genuine interest in food science. **Rigorousness and Attention to Detail:** Ability to strictly follow procedures and detect minor errors in packaging or raw materials. **Proactivity and Initiative:** Willingness to ask questions, assist other laboratory departments after completing primary duties, and propose improvements. **Teamwork:** Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with warehouse, production, and senior laboratory analysts.
