Professional development opportunities in logistics and people management About the Role At **XauStreet Regional Commerce and Operations**, we manage commercial and logistics operations focused on maintaining an efficient, reliable, and business-responsive supply chain. We are currently seeking a **Distribution Center Manager** to lead our Osorno operation. The selected candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of the distribution center, including warehousing, inventory, order picking, dispatch, productivity, safety, and team coordination. We seek a professional with solid experience in logistics and operations, capable of managing high-volume operations, improving key performance indicators, and maintaining an appropriate balance among service, cost, productivity, and safety. Key Responsibilities **Distribution Center Management:** Lead receiving, warehousing, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control operations. **Team Management:** Coordinate supervisors, operators, and administrative staff, ensuring proper allocation of resources and responsibilities. **Productivity:** Monitor performance metrics and develop initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy, and operational cycle times. **Inventory Control:** Ensure appropriate levels of stock accuracy, availability, and product/material traceability. **Service Level:** Monitor metrics related to complete orders, on-time dispatches, and fulfillment of commitments to internal and external customers. **Capacity Planning:** Assess requirements for space, staffing, equipment, and shifts based on projected demand. **Cost Management:** Control operational expenses, overtime, third-party services, internal transportation, and other center-related costs. **Operational Safety:** Ensure compliance with safety procedures, risk prevention, and good practices within the facility. **Vendor Management:** Coordinate logistics operators, carriers, technical service providers, and other vendors supporting the operation. **Continuous Improvement:** Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, minimize errors, optimize material flows, and enhance overall center efficiency. What We Are Looking For **Experience:** Ideally 5–8 years of experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain, including team or operational leadership experience. **Education:** Industrial Civil Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Logistics Administration, or a related professional degree. **Distribution Center Management:** Practical experience with receiving, warehousing, order picking, and dispatch operations. **Inventory Management:** Ability to control stock accuracy, turnover, variances, and service levels. **WMS Systems:** Experience using warehouse management systems and logistics control tools. **ERP Systems:** Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise platforms. **KPIs:** Experience working with KPIs such as productivity, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and cost per unit. **Leadership:** Ability to lead teams, set priorities, and maintain an organized, results-oriented work environment. Desirable Qualifications * Experience managing medium- or large-scale distribution centers. * Proficiency in SAP and WMS systems. * Experience with TMS tools or transportation planning. * Knowledge of Lean Logistics or continuous improvement methodologies. * Experience implementing productivity improvement projects. * Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization tools. * Experience with cycle counts and stock audits. * Knowledge of operational safety and risk prevention. * Experience in retail, FMCG, agribusiness, food, or distribution sectors. * Intermediate technical English for documentation or coordination with international suppliers. It is not necessary to meet all desirable qualifications.
