Position: Continuous Improvement & QA Engineer – La Portada Site
Purpose of the Position: To carry out planning, staff training, methodological monitoring (reports and dashboards), and certification audits (reports) for the various methodologies comprising the Continuous Improvement Strategy for SCh (5S, 7D, Lean Six Sigma Projects), across departments and logistics centers under the Directorate. (Annual CI Plan compliance).
Responsibilities:
Prepare initial assessment reports for the 5S methodology at each site, as required per the established format.
Provide methodological feedback to each department or work center, aligned with the annual CI Plan methodology assigned to them.
Conduct monthly tracking and control of requirements delivered per center and per methodology.
Self-manage scheduling and timelines for area activities defined per quarter (Q). (Example: Q1 – trainings and methodological follow-up and feedback; Q2 and Q3 – methodological follow-up and feedback; Q4 – certification audits and methodological follow-up and feedback).
Promptly inform direct supervisors of site non-compliance regarding requirement delivery and progress per methodology.
Develop improvement initiatives—including identification of cross-functional improvement opportunities, generation of improvement proposals, implementation, and project management—using the DMAIC framework, such as 7D workshops or Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality across the Directorate by collaborating with the QA team and various departments or subsidiaries through workshops, improvement projects, and/or other activities. Ensure internalization of concepts and methodological learning to advance continuous improvement at each center and/or work area, thereby improving operational, financial, and safety business indicators.
Through leadership, foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality across the Directorate by collaborating with the QA team and various departments or subsidiaries through workshops, improvement projects, and/or other activities.
**Desired Profile**

Graduate in Industrial/Commercial Engineering or related field; diplomas, courses, and/or postgraduate studies in Continuous Improvement.
Leadership and ability to work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams. (Expert)
Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, 7D, and Change Management). (Expert)
Proactivity and initiative in proposing and implementing nationwide cross-functional improvement initiatives. (Expert)
Knowledge of logistics processes. (Expert)
2–3 years of experience in continuous improvement.
Driver’s license Class B preferred.
Residence in Antofagasta city, with availability to travel to centers and worksites across northern Chile. (Mandatory).
