What the job involves
**Each day, you will enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:**
Preparing samples, selecting appropriate techniques, materials, reagents, and standards, then extracting, analyzing, and calculating results from laboratory analyses.
Ensuring correct consumption of standards and reagents within their management system.
Supporting investigations into out-of-specification results.
Performing required frequency verification of laboratory glassware according to the area’s management system.
Preparing secondary standards and reagents required by the department.
Generating necessary documentation for scheduled assays and digitizing such documentation upon completion of the analytical process, where applicable.
Supporting the laboratory in analytical activities when required.
Committing to defined objectives of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management system by understanding and complying with applicable EHS regulations, procedures, and instructions relevant to your tasks and functions within the organization; actively participating in training, promoting self-care and optimal working conditions; and promptly reporting any situation that may impact safety, health, or the environment—including accidents, environmental conditions, or actions—to your immediate supervisor.
Strictly adhering to ALCOA\+ principles across all document-related processes associated with your role and to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and GxP requirements across all stages in which your department operates, reporting any deviations or anomalies related to current legal regulations and internal procedures via the quality system.
Your contribution
**To excel in this role, we seek:**
Qualification as a chemical analyst, chemist, or chemical engineer, with at least 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in similar positions.
**Software:** Empower 3
Experience operating physicochemical laboratory equipment used in the pharmaceutical industry: HPLC, UV, IR, GC, Karl Fisher, among others.
GMP and GLP regulations.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
