Job Description **Purpose:** Plan short-, medium-, and long-term activities related to the operation and development of the Las Tórtolas tailings dam, ensuring and controlling quality during operational execution and embankment growth in accordance with the deposit’s design intent, monitoring measurement variables associated with critical deposit controls per surveillance programs and the Company’s strategic definitions. This is aligned with the Anglo American Operating Model. **Key Responsibilities:** * Execute and monitor operational implementation of Las Tórtolas tailings dam quality policies and procedures to achieve objectives and standards defined for Management. * Control and maintain the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Management System to deliver results consistent with established standards and traceable over time. * Plan the operational development of the deposit by reconciling master plans through 3D simulations and specialized deposit growth modeling software. * As SHEWay system implementer, plan, ensure, and maintain the system within the Superintendency. * Ensure establishment and implementation of necessary processes for the QA/QC Management System required for accreditation under NCH – ISO 17025\. * Issue, review, implement, and supplement instructions, procedures, manuals, or technical instruments arising from operational needs. * Address and resolve quality-related observations raised by supervisors, workers, or others deemed appropriate, preparing reports to communicate corrective and/or preventive actions. * Support area initiatives or new projects associated with the role, in line with Company requirements, to foster continuous improvement at the process level. * Control proper identification and management of risks during execution of unit plans and processes, to comply with Zero Harm policies and programs. * Analyze fieldwork procedure application and implement change management if necessary, recommending incorporation of improvements and tracking the process across its various approval levels. * Participate in internal and external Company Management System audits, managing process improvements and specific audit requirements. Requirements **Education:** * Professional degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Works, Geotechnics, Hydraulics, or related discipline. **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years of professional experience. * Minimum 3 years of experience with tailings dams. * Experience in planning and operation of tailings storage facilities. **Knowledge:** * Risk management and critical controls. * Physical and chemical stability of tailings deposits. * Mining legislation, labor legislation, and Subcontracting Law. * Integrated Management Systems and quality standards. **Other Requirements:** * Residence in the Metropolitan Region. * Medical requirements: fitness to work at high geographical altitude. * Shift pattern: 5X2. * Intermediate English.
