**Job Purpose:**
Manages operations, human resources, and assigned shift teams, ensuring compliance with mine safety and production programs, and adhering to corporate and divisional standards on supplier relations, transparency and integrity, occupational safety and health, and environmental management—based on the operational excellence management model—while ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures established by the Division and the Corporation related to safety, occupational health, environment, and diversity and inclusion.
**Main Responsibilities:**
* Manages various mining operation activities during the assigned shift, allocating available resources efficiently to ensure compliance with mine safety and production programs.
* Coordinates with the Production Expert Engineer on various mine activities to ensure operational continuity.
* Coordinates with Mine Dispatch on equipment, operator, and resource allocation to ensure operational continuity across processes.
* Proposes and implements safety improvements to safeguard the physical integrity of workers and all personnel entering the mine.
* Aligns and motivates team members, while also maintaining a healthy and productive work environment for shift personnel.
* Ensures operational continuity between shifts, guaranteeing accurate and precise daily information handover.
* Serves as a role model for workers regarding integrity, safety, and leadership—challenging them to continuously improve and pursue excellence.
* Supports implementation of innovation and process improvement initiatives to adopt best operational practices.

**Application Requirements:**
* Degree in Mining Civil Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering with Mining Specialization, Mining Engineering, and/or Mining Executive Engineering.
* Six years of experience in open-pit mining operations within Large-Scale Mining.
* Experience leading work teams.
* Demonstrable experience in Loading and Hauling in open-pit mining.
* Valid Class B Driver’s License, with at least two years of experience driving light vehicles.
**Desirable Qualifications:**
* Postgraduate degree in mining-related topics and/or mining business administration.
* Desirable experience in Services and Mine Development areas.
**Offered Conditions:**
* Contract Type: Indefinite-term.
* Position Title: Production Engineer.
* Work Location: Calama.
* Work Shift: Continuous 7x7.
