About **Carmen de Andacollo**
Carmen de Andacollo is an open-pit mine producing copper concentrate from the hypogene portion of the deposit.
We hold a 90% stake in the mine. The National Mining Company (ENAMI) holds the remaining 10%. Most mine personnel reside in the town of Andacollo, adjacent to the mine, or in nearby cities of Coquimbo and La Serena.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor – Mine Operations, the **Mine Operator Level 3** will be responsible for ensuring operational continuity in the area by operating all trucks, motor graders, and wheel dozers at Teck’s Carmen de Andacollo (CDA) mining site under conditions of safety, risk prevention, and environmental protection.
This role will be performed at our Carmen de Andacollo site, located in the Coquimbo Region, on a rotating 4x4 shift schedule (day and night shifts). It is important to note that Carmen de Andacollo does not have an on-site camp; however, we provide shuttle buses from Coquimbo and La Serena.
**Key Responsibilities**
---------------------------------
* Conduct preventive inspections of equipment and required materials prior to operation, and plan daily coordination with the assistant operator.
* Inspect the work area to assess terrain-related risks affecting operations.
* Apply sound operational practices across all activities within the mine transportation system, operating CAT 789 and Komatsu 730 trucks while safely and coordinately interacting with support equipment (motor graders, wheel dozers, bulldozers, excavators, and water trucks). Comply with operational, safety, and mine traffic standards, promoting defensive driving, asset care, timely detection and reporting of substandard conditions, and collaboration with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure operational continuity, productivity, and preservation of road infrastructure.
* Operate Caterpillar 789 and Komatsu 730 extraction trucks or equivalent support equipment (motor graders and wheel dozers), applying safe operating techniques, defensive driving, and sound operational practices to maximize productivity, safeguard personnel, protect assets, and contribute to road infrastructure maintenance, in accordance with current Teck Carmen de Andacollo procedures and standards.
* Maintain constant communication with direct supervisors and maintenance personnel to report operational hazards or equipment malfunctions, and report incidents as required per established regulations.
* Hand over equipment in appropriate cleanliness condition to the incoming shift and report its status.
* Support perimeter closure of blasting activities.
* Maintain, clean, and perform basic inspection of digital and safety systems, reporting anomalies for specialized maintenance.
* Foster a satisfactory, safe, and stimulating work environment with genuine commitment to personnel safety, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship, in compliance with the “Internal Regulations on Order, Hygiene, and Safety” and the “Code of Ethics and Conduct”.
* Know and apply ISO 50\.001 standard within their area, along with the Energy and Climate Change Policy, contributing to achievement of associated objectives and targets.
* Contribute to execution of action plans defined within the Energy Management System to meet objectives and targets.
* Define and communicate specifications to ensure optimal energy performance of assigned equipment and tasks.
**Requirements**

* Completed secondary education.
* Minimum 3 years of work experience at open-pit mining sites.
* Minimum 2 years of experience operating extraction trucks, motor graders, and wheel dozers.
* Experience operating CAT 789 and/or Komatsu 730 trucks.
* Desirable experience operating bulldozers.
* Valid Class B and D driver’s license.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and online platforms.
* Knowledge and experience in work environments applying operational excellence models.
* Understanding of mining processes.
* Basic knowledge of diesel and hydraulic mechanics.
* Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
* Familiarity with ISO 14\.001 and 50\.001\.
* Knowledge of energy efficiency and management systems.
* Availability to work rotating 4x4 shifts at our Carmen de Andacollo site, located in the Coquimbo Region.
