You won’t merely be drawing lines—you’ll be shaping the physical infrastructure of large-scale operations. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers, bridging the gap between complex process requirements and precise, executable 3D models and field drawings. We speak the language of BIM and digital twin integration. * **Growth:** You will have continuous opportunities to expand your technical skills, learn specialized software, and gain hands-on experience at major industrial sites. **Key Responsibilities:** * **3D Modeling and Layout Design:** Develop detailed 3D models and layouts for piping systems, mechanical equipment, and structural supports using AutoCAD Plant 3D and associated tools. * **Comprehensive Documentation:** Lead the creation of complete engineering packages, including general arrangement drawings, P\&IDs, isometric drawings, and bills of materials (BOM). * **Field Verification:** Conduct technical site visits and laser scanning verifications to collect real-world data and validate design feasibility on active job sites. * **Technical Quality Control:** Review design documentation to ensure compliance with international standards (ASME, ANSI) and client-specific criteria prior to project delivery. * **Multidisciplinary Coordination:** Collaborate directly with civil, structural, and electrical engineering teams to identify spatial interferences and proactively resolve technical interfaces. **What We’re Looking For:** * **Experience:** Minimum 3 years of proven experience in mechanical drafting and piping design, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sector. * **Portfolio / Work Samples:** Demonstrable experience generating isometrics, P\&IDs, and complex 3D piping layouts. We want to see your technical process and attention to detail. * **Tools:** Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and plant design-specific software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D, or SolidWorks). * **Location and Mobility:** Residence in (or willingness to relocate to) Antofagasta, Chile, with availability for site visits. A Class B driver’s license is a plus. * **Mindset:** Pragmatic and detail-oriented. You balance rigorous technical compliance with practical constructability to ensure smooth field execution.
