Job Summary:
We are seeking an import professional to manage the complete product import process, from planning through to final delivery to customers in the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire import process for large-scale mining
2. Coordinate import activities and ensure adherence to deadlines
3. Negotiate with international suppliers and logistics operators
We seek a professional with experience in the full import process for companies supplying spare parts to large-scale mining operations.
The person assuming this position will be responsible for planning, executing, and controlling the entire product journey until final delivery to the customer.
**Key duties include:**
* · Maintain communication with international suppliers, tracking purchase orders and shipments, and promptly reporting their status
* · Coordinate import activities, proactively addressing contingencies and ensuring compliance with delivery deadlines committed to customers.
* · Request, analyze, and negotiate quotations and commercial terms with international suppliers and logistics operators.
* · Define transportation and cargo consolidation alternatives, seeking efficient, cost-effective solutions aligned with market conditions.
* · Monitor imports with shipping lines, customs agencies, and logistics operators, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
* · Coordinate the entry and receipt of products at ports, airports, and company facilities, ensuring timely and compliant handling.
* · Prepare cost estimates and control expenses associated with company operations,
* · Keep import-related information updated in SAP and manage documentary records, ensuring operational traceability.
**Requirements:**
* Education: Degree in Logistics Engineering, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles involving imports, interaction with international suppliers, transportation, and customs agencies.
* Knowledge: International trade regulations, customs procedures.
* English: Intermediate level (desirable)
* SAP or similar system proficiency
* Intermediate-level Office suite skills
**Work Location: RM; LAMPA**
Working Hours: Mon–Thu: 08:00–16:30 hrs / Fri: 08:00–16:00 hrs (on-site)
Salary: $1\.000\.000 \- $1\.600\.000 per month
