DHL Global Forwarding is currently seeking an Ocean Freight Import Coordinator. If you have experience in logistics and ocean transportation, and are looking for an opportunity to grow within a global company, this is your chance! **Area of Responsibility:** OFR (Ocean Freight) **Benefits:** * Access to training and learning programs. * Professional development opportunities within an international company. **Key Responsibilities During Employment:** * Develop customer relationships and participate in customer visits with the sales team when required. * Attend Kick-off / Implementation meetings and/or calls with customers. * Conduct the initial call according to the new customer protocol. * Accept and process shipment orders or instructions in accordance with L5. * Proactively report shipment status or exceptions and provide feasible solutions. * Enter quotation requests into the internal system for submission of new instructions. * Create new customer profiles in EDM and maintain updated contact information on the platform. * Manage the creation of notification contacts in CargoWise and update existing ones as required. * Proactively review Milestones, ensuring Completeness and Timeliness targets are met. * Validate HBL rates against quotations (GP Control). * Send Pre-alerts from CW to customers lacking an EDM profile. * Ensure document upload (MBL and HBL), spot quotations, and other relevant shipment documents into E-Docs. * Generate payment requests for cash suppliers to the Finance team. * Issue insurance policies where applicable and upload them into CargoWise E-Docs. * Update notes in the customer organization within CW1 according to the customer’s special handling requirements. **Requirements:** * Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles. * Academic qualification: Degree related to international trade or equivalent experience-based proficiency. * English language proficiency: Intermediate–Advanced. * MS Office skills: Excel – Intermediate level. * Technical knowledge: Familiarity with international and national regulations governing ocean imports, Incoterms 2020, international trade documentation, letter of credit processes, trade agreements, and commercial & customs terminology. * Customer service and support skills, proactive problem identification and resolution, teamwork capability, time management and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, strong communication with internal and external customers, empathy, and a positive attitude. **Why Join Our Team?** You’ll have the opportunity to work for an international company within a multicultural environment.
