Position Summary: The Service Technician performs technical and administrative activities, manages resources, and supports the commercial area, ensuring service delivery in accordance with purchase orders and standards. Key Highlights: 1. Execute and fulfill field service activities. 2. Generate technical, safety, and administrative documentation. 3. Support the preparation of technical proposals and identify opportunities. **What you’ll do:** ------------------- **Job Summary** The Service Technician’s primary responsibility is to utilize assigned resources to execute and fulfill committed activities per the customer’s Purchase Order. **Job Responsibilities** Execute services as specified in the Purchase Order (PO), technical specifications, and in compliance with Eaton’s regulations and standards. Ensure all Eaton-provided equipment and tools used for job execution remain in good working condition. Use and maintain all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in optimal condition. Perform electrical testing in accordance with Eaton’s safety standards. Generate technical, safety, and administrative documentation required for service delivery. Prepare, track, and report expenses, man-hours (HH), service logs, reports, and protocols for service closure and billing. Report HH data, absorption rates, and expense reimbursements incurred during field service execution. Support the EESS commercial team in preparing technical proposals by contributing technical scope definitions and identifying opportunities. **In the Field** Full commissioning of frequency inverters Configuration of acceleration and deceleration ramps Adjustment of current and frequency limits Configuration of digital inputs and outputs Configuration of LOCAL/REMOTE mode Motor autotuning execution Ability to diagnose and resolve faults **Qualifications:** ------------------- **Required Education Level** Technical or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Automation. **Years and Area of Required Experience** 2 years of experience in related fields **Required Technical Knowledge** AutoCAD Microsoft Office Electrical safety Technical English (ability to understand English manuals) Knowledge of Electric Motors Electrical Protection Devices Contactors and Relays PLC Control and command signals Use of manufacturer-specific configuration and monitoring software Class B Driver’s License with over 1 year of validity Availability to work in Calama *(including flexibility for alternative shifts such as 14x14 and travel within and outside the city)*.
