Job Summary
ExaTrucks is seeking a qualified and detail\-oriented **Procurement Specialist** to support our purchasing and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing products and services, evaluating suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, processing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring that procurement activities meet quality, cost, and operational requirements.
This role is ideal for a procurement professional with experience in industrial equipment, automotive, heavy vehicles, mining, construction, logistics, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day\-to\-day procurement activities for vehicles, chassis, spare parts, equipment, components, services, and operational supplies.
* Identify and evaluate qualified local and international suppliers.
* Request and analyze quotations, bids, and commercial proposals.
* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other purchasing conditions.
* Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation.
* Monitor supplier performance, product quality, delivery schedules, and service levels.
* Maintain strong and professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Coordinate with logistics teams to track shipments and ensure timely deliveries.
* Work closely with sales, operations, finance, warehouse, technical, and management teams to understand procurement requirements.
* Research market prices, supplier capabilities, product availability, and industry trends.
* Support cost\-reduction and supplier optimization initiatives.
* Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, quotations, and purchasing reports.
* Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment where necessary.
* Assist with international purchasing, imports, shipping documentation, and customs\-related coordination.
* Identify and escalate procurement risks, supply shortages, delivery delays, and quality issues.
* Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and applicable Chilean commercial and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare procurement reports and performance indicators for management.
* Maintain confidentiality of supplier, pricing, commercial, and company information.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in **Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce**, or a related field.
* **3\+ years of experience** in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
* Experience with supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, purchasing, and commercial negotiations.
* Knowledge of procurement processes and purchase order management.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze prices, costs, specifications, and supplier proposals.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly **Excel**.
* Experience using ERP, procurement, inventory, or purchasing management systems.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements and deadlines.
* Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.
* Professional integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in **mining, construction, heavy vehicles, automotive, industrial equipment, transportation, or engineering**.
* Knowledge of heavy\-duty vehicles, electric vehicles, specialized chassis, spare parts, or industrial components.
* Experience with international suppliers and cross\-border procurement.
* Familiarity with import/export procedures, logistics, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
* Experience negotiating high\-value equipment or industrial purchases.
* Knowledge of supplier performance management and strategic sourcing.
* Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
* Professional procurement or supply chain certification is an advantage.
* Intermediate or advanced English for communication with international suppliers.
