Handling of chemical reagents and quality control **Job Description** Perform various laboratory analytical services related to the composition, properties, and reactions of the chemical and physical elements constituting the samples. This includes executing methodologies at all levels of complexity and being responsible for compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies and standards. Main responsibilities include: * Ensure correct execution of assigned analytical methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding results and materials under one's responsibility, and recording data within established timeframes. * Procure, ensure availability of, or prepare necessary materials, equipment, and/or accessories required for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use. * Ensure and comply with all activities related to sample treatment, preparation of reagents and standards, as well as integrity of results according to current procedures. **Requirements** * Formal Education: Chemical Engineer or Bachelor of Chemistry * Experience: Minimum 3 years overall, including at least 2 years in mineral laboratories * Minimum Required Competencies: Proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices, knowledge of Quality Standards, and familiarity with analytical techniques or methodologies for minerals. * Experience in Atomic Absorption (mandatory) * Residence in Calama is desirable
