Currently, we are seeking a Food and/or Aquaculture Commercial Engineer as a **Business Development Engineer**, based in **Puerto Montt**, with commercial coverage across the southern region of the country. **Position Objective** Execute the business development strategy through prospecting and acquiring new customers, consolidating commercial opportunities that drive sustainable business growth, with a focus on margin, volume, and compliance with the company’s safety and integrity standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Conduct market research and prospecting to identify new business opportunities. * Develop and manage a **focused customer portfolio**, primarily focused on acquiring and attracting new customers. * Manage new business initiatives and commercial projects, from the evaluation stage through to implementation. * Execute commercial activities with strong on-site presence (**70% field / 30% administrative**). * Maintain coordination with the commercial team and internal departments to ensure proper customer service and development of value propositions. * Analyze the regional market and forecast demand from current and potential customers. * Support after-sales processes and commercial follow-up as required. **Requirements** * University graduate, preferably in **Engineering** (Industrial, Food, Chemical, Biochemical, Process, Commercial, or related field). * Prior experience in commercial roles, business development, or direct B2B sales. * Project management experience is desirable. * Proficiency in **SAP** (desirable). * **Intermediate English** (desirable). * **Valid Class B driver’s license (mandatory)**. * Willingness to **travel frequently** within the region, from **Temuco to Punta Arenas**. * Residency in **Puerto Montt or nearby areas**, with knowledge of the local market.
