Apply at getonbrd.com without intermediaries. ### **What Awaits You?** * Ensure data quality, integrity, and security. * Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines. * Maintain and optimize the corporate Data Lake. * Automate data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes. * Integrate and manage large volumes of data from diverse sources (structured and unstructured). * Implement and manage ETL/ELT tools for data transformation and loading. * Identify areas for improvement in data ingestion processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency. * Collaborate with data science, analytics, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver technical solutions. * Design and build data pipelines that simplify and streamline the entire process: ingestion from diverse sources, transformation, and storage in Apache Iceberg tables on S3, cataloged in AWS Glue and queried via Athena. * Automation and orchestration: identify opportunities to automate data ingestion, transformation, and delivery—including orchestration, monitoring, and failure alerting. * Documentation: document pipelines, data models, and technical decisions in the team’s knowledge base as part of each development’s closure, ensuring traceability and uniform understanding. * Data governance: apply quality, classification, and access policies defined by the team, with special attention to personal and financial data handling. ### **Requirements — What Do You Need?** * Professional degree in related fields such as Computer Engineering or Civil Engineering. * Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering roles or building data pipelines. * Proficiency in the AWS ecosystem (S3 / Athena (SQL Trino) / Glue (catalog and jobs) / Lambda / ECS / DynamoDB / Apache Iceberg) (Mandatory). * Strong Python and advanced SQL skills. * Knowledge of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS databases (RDS / Aurora), and NoSQL (DynamoDB). * Data engineering expertise: distributed processing (Spark, ideally via AWS Glue) and building ETL/ELT pipelines and their orchestration (EventBridge, Step Functions or similar). ### **Desirable** * Experience in fintech, financial services, or related industries is desirable. * Familiarity with QuickSight, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CDK), Git and CI/CD, cost optimization (Athena scan, partitioning, S3 lifecycle), and CDC with DMS on AWS is desirable. ### **What Do We Offer?** * Personal Days: One free day for birthdays and moving. * Additional vacation days: 3 extra days per year \+ 2 administrative days. * Work-from-anywhere (WFA) weeks in winter and summer. * Flexible points system. * Complementary health insurance. * Agreement with Caja Los Andes. * Close-knit and collaborative culture: Join a purpose-driven team.
