### **Job Title** Acting Nursing Unit Manager for Units U63, U65, and U67 m/f/x ### **Contract Type** Fixed-term contract ### **Contract Duration** Maternity and parental leave coverage ### **Workload** 100% ETP ### **Your Mission** * As a substitute for the permanent Nursing Unit Manager, you will assume organizational, managerial, and operational responsibility for neonatal, pediatric intensive care, and mother-child units. * You ensure the quality, safety, and continuity of care provided to newborns and hospitalized children, in coordination with medical, nursing teams, and internal and external partners. * You occasionally perform nursing procedures and practices within your unit. * You ensure optimal management of human and material resources while promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment. * You contribute to optimizing these resources and continuously improving professional practices, team management, and skill development. * You provide supervision to the nursing team within a co-constructive framework. * You combine managerial, methodological, and interpersonal skills to meet the organization’s diverse needs. * You make decisions and take responsibility for them, aligning with objectives set with your hierarchy (Objectives and Resources Agreement). * You listen to the needs of all stakeholders and foster collaboration. * You promote motivation and development within your team, respecting the institution’s values framework. More specifically, your management focus includes: * Responsibility for highly technical units with high emotional demands. * Coordination with perinatal and pediatric structures to ensure an integrated care pathway. * Oversight of an activity undergoing constant evolution (medical and technological innovations, development of child-centered developmental care). * Defining a specific training plan tailored to the department’s specialties. * Multidisciplinary therapeutic support and building therapeutic alliances with families. * Attracting and retaining professionals. * Informing and supporting families, being attentive to distressed parents. * Adhering to ethical standards in patient care. * Supervising and providing psychological support to teams facing critical situations. * Ensuring traceability of care to guarantee continuity in patient care plans. * Promoting multidisciplinary team meetings (doctors, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals). * Participating in case reviews and/or morbidity/mortality reviews, maintaining close collaboration with the entire medical-nursing team and your counterpart. * Practicing compassionate leadership and remaining available to the team. * Establishing transformational leadership. * Implementing quality standards (JCI). * Managing a multidisciplinary team of 75 people. ### **Your Profile** * You hold a valid nursing or specialized nursing license (pediatrics, anesthesia) or midwifery license, along with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. * Ideally, you have successful experience and university-level training in management. You possess the following specific knowledge: institutional projects, nursing department strategies, Luxembourgish legislation, JCI, ISO 15189 * + … as well as expertise in: team management and leadership, communication/internal relations, nursing research methods, situation analysis methodology, and project management. * You are fluent in French, Luxembourgish, and English. * You are proficient in computer tools: Word, Excel, HRACCESS, Talentsoft, Outlook * You are recognized for your interpersonal skills and qualities: leadership abilities, value-based management, results orientation, analytical capacity, evaluation, prioritization, and supervision skills, planning, coordination, and delegation capabilities, mastery of communication and interview techniques, autonomy in work, self-assessment ability, adaptability, assertiveness, discretion beyond professional confidentiality, role model behavior, creativity, ease in writing, visionary perspective in your specialty, availability for staff, and strong situational analysis and decision-making skills. ### **Working Hours** Standard working hours of the Nursing Department **Position Location** ------------------------- ### **Position Location** CHL KannerKlinik **Candidate Criteria** --------------------- ### **Minimum Required Experience Level** 6\-10 years ### **Languages** * French (5\- Bilingual) * Luxembourgish (3\- Intermediate) * English (4\- Advanced)
