Job Summary: We are seeking a Welding Assistant to support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance processes for equipment and facilities, as well as the fabrication of metal parts. Key Highlights: 1. Support preventive and corrective maintenance processes for equipment. 2. Contribute to the fabrication of metal parts and objects. 3. Work requiring interpretation of blueprints and safety standards. A prominent construction company requires hiring a welding assistant. Main Responsibilities • Prepare equipment for assigned tasks. • Select appropriate welding methods for the job. • Perform welding on prefabricated and custom-fabricated components. • Interpret blueprints. • Document and report all equipment repairs to the workshop supervisor. • Follow applicable safety measures and procedures during repairs. • Ensure correct repair procedures are followed for equipment. • Blueprint interpretation. Industrial safety standards. Maintenance of welding equipment. In summary, support preventive, predictive, and corrective (scheduled and emergency) maintenance services for equipment and facilities within the welding specialty. Support the fabrication of metal parts and objects using designs, instruments, and welding machinery. REQUIREMENTS: • Secondary-level technical education; graduate of an Industrial Technical High School, Mechanical or related field. • Knowledge of equipment, materials, and tools—including their characteristics, uses, and operation. • Experience and aptitude in using hand tools, welding, and/or machining. (MINIMUM 1 YEAR) • Class B driver’s license. • Responsible individual. • Proactive. • Immediate availability. BASE SALARY: CLP 700,000 (overtime may apply) Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Work Location: Lampa.
