**At Coca\-Cola CPS Chile, we are seeking our next Laboratory Analyst to work at the production plant located in San Bernardo**
**Position Purpose:** Lead sensory management of ingredients and finished products and provide regulatory support to ensure compliance with regulations governing imports, exports, and operational support for labeling and safety data sheets. This role combines scientific expertise in sensory management and sensory culture with knowledge of Chilean regulatory requirements for imports, the local market, and countries involved in exporting CPS Chile’s products.
**Responsibilities**
**As a Sensory Management Specialist:**
* **Sensory Panel Management:** Organize and supervise daily sensory panel operations; design and execute sensory and consumer studies; recruit and train panelists according to TCCC standardized protocols. This role requires ensuring CPS Chile product quality aligns with TCCC standards.
* **Preparation of Final Beverages:** Responsible for preparing final beverages for sensory evaluation according to the Official Formula for each beverage as applicable (e.g., complete beverage, simple syrup \+ flavoring/aromatizing agent, etc.).
* **Preparation and Execution of Sensory Analyses:** Set up panels for finished products, ingredients, intermediate goods, water, and others. Analyze sensory data and communicate results to SM via Compusense.
* **Sensory Software and Database Management:** Administer and maintain sensory data management systems and sensory testing programs, ensuring test configurations and their results.
* **Expert Panel Training and Maintenance:** Manage and implement training, calibration, and performance maintenance programs for panelists; promote continuous improvement and document panelist competencies to ensure a high-performance panel.
* **Participation in Research and Continuous Improvement of Processes Related to Sensory Impact:** Analyze data and handle and interpret sensory results; support tests requiring shelf-life extension, sensory stability, among others.
* **Sensory Culture:** Responsible for fostering sensory culture at the plant through participatory, educational, and/or training initiatives for the plant/OU or others.
* **Dashboarding and Communication:** Maintain a dashboard with Sensory metrics for communication to the plant and QSE team.
**As Regulatory Affairs Support:** Provide regulatory support for imports, exports, and labeling, as well as for safety data sheets and technical specifications.
* **Documentation Support to Bottlers / OU:** Prepare letters, certificates, and technical specifications required by our bottler customers for their internal management processes and joint import procedures with OUs in export countries.
* **Documentation Support to Authorities for Importation of Ingredients or Products:** Prepare letters, certificates, and technical specifications required for the importation and approval of ingredients and products by health and customs authorities; manage information requests from customs or health authorities; coordinate internal signature collection or approvals.
* **Documentation Support to Authorities for Product Export \- Certificate of Origin or Others:** Prepare letters, certificates, and technical specifications required for export and processing of Certificates of Origin via sworn declarations and technical specifications for export; coordinate internal signature collection or approvals.
* **Tariff Code Assignment and Import/Export Procedures:** Research and propose tariff classifications for ingredients and products; coordinate with logistics and customs agents; respond to internal inquiries regarding tariffs.
* **Regulatory Task Management for New Products (FLOW):** Track the product development plan in the FLOW tool; ensure regulatory tasks are executed on time.
* **Creation and Maintenance of Safety Data Sheets:** Create, update, and validate safety data sheets (SDS) for finished products; upload and maintain information in the local WERCS system.
* **GLS/GHS Labeling Online Support:** Support the product labeling process and verify compliance with applicable GHS legislation in the GLS system.
* **Dashboarding and Communication:** Maintain the dashboard with internal SRA metrics for communication to the plant and QSE team.
**Competencies and Requirements**
* Professional degree in Chemistry, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Industrial Chemistry, Sensory Science, or related field.
* Experience in sensory analysis, experimental design, and panel training.
* Solid knowledge of local (RSA CHILE) and international food regulations; familiarity with GMP, HACCP, labeling regulations, GHS standard, and Safety Data Sheet standard.
* Analytical skills, data analysis, trend analysis, ability to interpret sensory data and prepare reports and communications.
* Proactivity to lead training programs and compliance projects.
* English: Intermediate or higher.
