Job Summary: The machine operator assistant is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of sweepers and burnishers in indoor and common areas. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain cleanliness of the assigned area using specialized equipment. 2. Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning machinery. 3. Report malfunctions or failures of assigned machines. **Job Description** --------------------------- The machine operator assistant will be responsible for operating sweepers, burnishers, and performing general cleaning tasks both indoors and in common areas. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Maintain cleanliness of the assigned area using assigned machinery. * Follow work guidelines to ensure proper cleaning of the workplace. * Clean machinery and tools used in daily duties. * Perform preventive maintenance on the machinery used. * Notify supervisors of any malfunctions or failures of machines under their responsibility. * Other duties and tasks assigned by supervision. Class D driver’s license required. * Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical hazards. * Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and crawling are required. This position may involve physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or walking and standing for extended periods.
