Manager, Sales
Introduction
We are looking for talent for the position of Manager, Sales, who will be responsible for promoting and selling capital equipment for concentrator plants and crushing equipment for hydro processes. This role involves identifying business opportunities, developing relationships with key customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project sales cycle. The role supports the Minerals Sales team in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay, promoting technologies and solutions for Concentrator Plants — including crushing, grinding, flotation, filters, and thickeners. It also entails identifying new and/or potential sales opportunities for mineral concentration technologies; building connections between the company and customers through portfolio follow-up and engagement; supporting the sales realization process to achieve budgeted targets; and influencing the management’s sales strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, prospecting, and identifying sales opportunities by actively collaborating in detecting customer challenges and/or needs — such as engineering firms, mining companies, or others.
Develop solid technical/commercial knowledge of Metso’s technology portfolio.
Promote our equipment technologies through meetings and active customer engagement, participation in and organization of seminars, conferences, mining exhibitions, and other promotional events.
Maintain a strong and well-established network within the mining industry — both among mining companies and engineering firms — involved in active or upcoming projects; clarify doubts and provide technical and commercial support via phone calls, meetings, video calls, etc.; and develop a solid commercial and technical understanding of customers.
Strong commercial and financial skills to support the Budget/Forecast processes for your business area.
Participate in marketing activities aimed at promoting technologies related to your business area.
Collaborate with the technical team to ensure equipment meets customer specifications and requirements.
Work actively and collaboratively with the Proposals team and headquarters located in Finland, USA, Australia, and Brazil, depending on the technology involved.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required for business purposes.
Conduct post-sales follow-up to evaluate customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
Required Professional Profile
**Education:** Industrial Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or Metallurgical/Civil Chemical/Mining Engineering.
**Experience:**
Minimum 10 years of experience in mining equipment (Metso experience preferred).
Experience in large-scale mining projects is desirable.
**Qualifications (Expected Knowledge):**
Chilean mining industry, concentrator plant technologies.
Advanced English proficiency
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Power BI (not mandatory)
